AMGM contributes to the flood relief
Donation Appeal for Flood Victims
Conscious Citizens and Mountaineers have always helped the needy in times of calamities and ensured that timely help reaches hands who need them. Significantly heavy rainfall that happened on 20 & 21 July was devastating, with flood water level rising above 15 meters. Houses were submerged, cattle and live stock were also affected in wide spread areas. In some places, heavy landslide has happened that washed away hill based small villages, thus resulting in loss of many lives.
Any sensitive person, who has been in those mountains and valleys cannot remain idle. Many of our Mountaineers / Volunteers have already started Search, Rescue and Relief efforts in the flood affected areas of Mahad, Chiplun & Sangli.
Today many of the flood affected people in remote areas are in desperate need of help. Akhil Maharashtra Giryarohan Mahasangh (AMGM) sympathises with those affected by this natural disaster and is appealing to the society to help the flood victims. The funds to be raised will be utilised for the Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation work in these affected areas.
